Products

Product Selection & Compatibility

Use this group when the buyer is comparing models, door types, outdoor use, materials or similar-looking locks.

Best used for:
  • Choosing a first model direction
  • Comparing similar-looking locks
  • Checking material and outdoor-use assumptions
Which smart lock family should I review first?

Start with door type, indoor or outdoor environment, required unlock methods, management method and target market. A suitable family should match the door structure and project use case before model details are compared.

Which locks are suitable for outdoor gates?

Do not judge outdoor suitability by appearance alone. Confirm exposure level, inside or outside operation, gate or frame structure, lock-body type and the available protection or test scope for the exact model.

Does every SivoLock model use SUS304 stainless steel?

Not every component should be assumed to use the same material. SUS304 is a core SivoLock material direction, but the covered parts, finish and material scope must be confirmed for the selected model.

Can one smart lock fit different door types?

No single model should be assumed to fit every door type. Confirm door thickness, mortise or lock body, backset, opening direction, frame condition and available panel space before choosing the installation route.

How do I compare similar models?

Compare the door type, panel width, mortise, unlock methods, App platform, outdoor suitability, management needs and project quantity. Similar panels can still use different lock bodies, functions or installation files.

Installation

Installation & Door Preparation

Use this group before ordering, drilling, replacing an old lock or judging why a lock works open but not closed.

Best used when:
  • Selecting a replacement lock
  • Reviewing a new door
  • Checking an open-door or closed-door difference
What door details should I send before ordering?

Send the door type, finished thickness, opening direction, mortise or lock body, backset, existing cutout and clear photos of the door, edge, frame and current lock position. Drawings help project orders.

Can SivoLock confirm final installation compatibility?

SivoLock can review supplied details and recommend a suitable direction, but final fit must be confirmed against the exact model, mortise, door condition and installation execution.

What if I do not know the mortise or backset?

Send lock-body photos, dimension photos, door-edge photos and existing cutout details. A front-view photo alone is usually not enough to confirm mortise type, backset or replacement risk.

Why does the lock work with the door open but not when closed?

This often points to strike, keeper, frame, door sag, latch friction or door pressure. Test open and closed, then review both installation fit and troubleshooting evidence before replacing parts.

Should installation files be selected by product family or exact model?

Use files for the exact model, mortise and configuration. Similar panels or product families may use different cutouts, lock bodies, accessories, setup steps or App instructions.

Photos, dimensions and door-open or door-closed videos keep support aligned with the actual installation.

App and Use

App, Credentials & Daily Use

Use this group when the question is about TTLock, Tuya, Gateway, remote functions or user access behavior.

Prepare before support:
  • Selected App platform and model
  • User role and administrator status
  • Screenshots or short setup videos
Are TTLock and Tuya available on every model?

No. App platform, Gateway support, remote management and temporary-password functions vary by model and final configuration. Confirm the App requirement before quotation or sample approval.

Can the same lock support fingerprint, PIN, card and App?

It depends on the exact model and function package. Do not assume every SivoLock model includes all access methods, administrator functions and backup options at the same time.

Why can one user unlock the door but another cannot?

Check credential registration, user permission, validity period, administrator settings and whether the fingerprint, PIN or card was enrolled correctly. Keep the symptom separate from mechanical door problems.

Does remote unlocking require a Gateway?

Gateway or network requirements depend on the selected App platform, lock model and remote function. Some operations may be local only unless the correct Gateway and permissions are configured.

Can temporary passwords or access records be managed remotely?

It depends on the App platform, Gateway, administrator permission and product configuration. Confirm the intended use case, user roles and access-record requirements before selecting a model for the project.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Use this group when the installed lock has a symptom, inconsistent operation or a maintenance question.

Check separately:
  • Power and battery condition
  • Credential behavior
  • Door alignment and mechanical movement
What should I check if the lock has no power?

Start with battery orientation, battery condition, contacts, visible corrosion or looseness, and the approved emergency-power route for the exact model. Use only the method specified for that model, because the available port and procedure may differ.

Why is fingerprint recognition inconsistent?

Check finger condition, enrollment quality, sensor cleanliness, user position, battery condition and environmental factors. Test fingerprint symptoms separately from PIN, card, administrator and mechanical-key symptoms where applicable.

Why does the motor sound normal but the door does not unlock?

A normal motor sound can still leave a mechanical issue. Check mortise movement, spindle position, strike alignment, latch friction and door pressure before assuming an electronic fault.

What should I do if the App cannot find the lock?

Check phone operating system, Bluetooth or network permissions, lock status, App account, pairing mode and whether an existing administrator binding blocks setup. Screenshots and short videos help support.

How should the lock surface be cleaned?

Use a soft cloth and mild neutral cleaner where necessary. Do not use steel brushes, strongly acidic or strongly alkaline cleaners, rough abrasives, or liquid sprayed directly into electronic areas.

Documents

Quality Documents & Certifications

Use this group for document availability, report scope, importer review, tenders and quality records.

Prepare before requesting:
  • Exact model and configuration
  • Target market or standard
  • Document type and deadline
Are the same certificates applicable to every model?

No. Applicability must be reviewed against the exact model, configuration, document version and target market. Similar product appearance does not confirm that one file covers another model.

Can buyers request CE, FCC, RoHS or REACH documents?

Yes, buyers can request an availability review for applicable documents. Provide the model, configuration, target market and required standard; do not assume each model carries the same files.

Does one IP report cover every outdoor smart lock?

No. The report must match the tested sample, structure, installation condition, test method and selected model. A general outdoor description does not by itself confirm report applicability.

Is a factory ISO certificate the same as a product certificate?

No. ISO or quality-system documents usually relate to a named company, site or management system. Product reports relate to a named product, sample, configuration or tested scope.

Can SivoLock provide tender or project documents?

SivoLock can review existing documents after the target country, standard, selected model, configuration, language requirement and submission deadline are provided. Some project requests may require additional testing.

After-Sales

Warranty & After-Sales

Use this group when a lock appears faulty, a shipment arrives damaged, items are missing or spare parts are needed.

Prepare one case with:
  • Order reference and exact model
  • Affected quantity and symptom
  • Photos, videos and troubleshooting results
Does a failed lock automatically qualify for replacement?

No. The support route depends on exact model, order terms, issue evidence, installation condition, troubleshooting results and verified cause. The outcome may be guidance, parts, logistics review or replacement review.

What should I submit for an after-sales case?

Submit order reference, model, quantity inspected, quantity affected, symptom, photos or video, troubleshooting results and installation or shipping context. One complete case is easier to route.

What should I do if the goods arrive damaged?

Keep the outer carton, inner packaging and shipping label. Photograph carton sides, labels and damaged areas before discarding packaging, repairing products or arranging a return.

What if parts are missing or incorrect?

Provide the packing list, carton label, overview of received items, list of missing or incorrect parts, order number and photos. Keep missing-item evidence separate from functional-fault evidence so the case can be routed correctly.

Are spare parts available after the warranty period?

Spare-part availability can be reviewed by exact model, revision, mortise, finish, function version, required quantity and original order reference. Availability and lead time are confirmed case by case.

Orders

Orders, Packing & Shipping

Use this group when the question is about quotation data, packaging, shipment evidence or receiving checks.

Prepare before ordering:
  • Quantity, destination and model direction
  • Packaging or manual language needs
  • Receiving and inspection requirements
What information is needed for an accurate quotation?

Provide model or door type, quantity, destination, required functions, App option, finish, packaging, OEM/ODM scope and required documents. Door details improve model selection before pricing.

Can packaging and manual language be customized?

It depends on order quantity, selected model and project scope. Packaging artwork, labels, manual language and accessory changes should be confirmed before production starts.

How are accessories confirmed before shipment?

Use the approved specification, packing list and order confirmation to check keys or cards, screws, spindles, mortise, manual, labels and accessory quantities before shipment.

Can buyers request pre-shipment photos or inspection records?

Yes, this can be discussed before shipment. Availability depends on order stage, inspection scope, agreed record format and whether third-party inspection is required.

What should I check when receiving a shipment?

Check carton count, visible shipping damage, labels, model, finish, accessories and quantity discrepancy. Keep packaging and photos if damage, missing items or wrong items are found.

Projects

OEM/ODM & Project Support

Use this group when a buyer needs logo, finish, packaging, App option, function package or door-system development support.

Best used for:
  • Logo, finish and packaging scope
  • App or function package review
  • Door-system development feasibility
What can be customized?

Customization may include logo, finish, packaging, manual language, accessories, function package, App option and hardware matching. The available scope must be confirmed by model and project requirements.

Does every model support the same customization?

No. Customization scope varies by panel structure, electronics, App platform, tooling, order quantity and project requirements. Sample planning should use the selected model, not a generic family assumption.

What information should be included in an OEM/ODM request?

Include selected model, quantity, target market, logo files, finish, packaging, manual language, required functions, timeline and certification or document needs. Missing scope slows feasibility review.

Can SivoLock develop a model for an existing door system?

A feasibility review can start with the door structure, lock body, drawings, quantity and technical requirements. Feasibility can be confirmed only after the structure, tooling requirements, technical scope and project economics have been reviewed.

Can samples be approved before mass production?

Yes. Sample approval should cover exact configuration, finish, mortise, App platform, accessories and packaging. Mass production should follow the approved sample or approved specification.

Still Need Help

When the FAQ is not enough, send one complete support question.

The FAQ should route most common questions. For a specific model, order or project case, support needs enough context to decide the next route.

Model Context

Exact model, product family or photos

If the exact model is unknown, send clear panel, lock-body, label and order photos so support can identify the likely route.

Case Context

Installation, App, document, shipping or after-sales

Name the category and describe what result you need: model selection, file review, troubleshooting route, missing part review or warranty case.

Evidence

Photos, video, screenshots or documents

Send evidence that shows the door, symptom, App screen, packaging, label or document request. One complete message reduces repeated clarification.

Need More Help?

Send the model, context and one complete support question.

Include the exact model, order reference where applicable, door or installation details, issue description, photos or video, required document and the result you need. SivoLock can then direct the request to the correct product, installation, technical, document or after-sales route.
